Mind, you might think the birthday boy is being a tad ungrateful at the start of this encounter. Why, Manuel has bought his cute little pal a lovely cake and a beautiful red rose, yet all Stevens seems to be able to do is criticise the fellow’s kissing, which he considers a little reserved. Admittedly, that may well indeed be the case; but suffice it to say that Manuel very quickly makes up for his initial reticence.
